Cahore Inshore Rescue Service

Cahore Inshore Rescue Service has been serving the community for over 20 years. It was set up in 1995, after a local woman went missing at sea. We carried out searches for several months but never recovered the casualty.
A group of local people in the community got together and decided to raise money to purchase a boat, to set up a service, so in the future we would be equipped to handle these situations. Since then, we have assisted in many recoveries and rescues .
We have gone from strength to strength, becoming what is now a recognised and well established Community Rescue Service.
Our mission is to serve our community and we want to continue to do so. Cahore Inshore has a volunteer crew and is funded by the generosity of the local community. We rely on the kindness of the public through donations and fundraising support.
